To reliably measure the rotation speed of a shaft or a disc in machinery like engines, use this reflective tape from Testo. Where should I use non-contact tachometers?

As they don't require direct contact with an object, non-contact tachometers are typically used to measure rotational speeds in hard-to-reach equipment or hazardous places.

Industrial Tapes
