When the magnetic actuator is withdrawn from the switch the NC safety contacts are opened, which isolates power to the machine.

Ferrogard safety switches provide the reliability of non-contact switches combined with a high tolerance to door misalignment due to their large sensing field. They have simplified set-up and alignment to help decrease installation costs. They also have internal non-resettable overload protection on the safety contact and protected safety contacts. Risk of debris contamination is reduced due to no contact between the sensor and actuator. The FRS 1, 2, 20 and 21 devices are made from moulded ABS with a rectangular housing for flexible mounting options, and are sealed to IP67 (NEMA 6P), which makes them dust-tight and highly suitable for use in wet environments.

440N-G02055 Magnetic Safety Interlock Switch

The 440N-G02055 Ferrogard FRS 21 magnetic safety switch has 2NC (Normally Closed) safety contacts and 1NO (Normally Open) auxiliary contact. The switching capacity is 2A max at 250 VAC. This model comes with a 2m cable. The rectangular enclosure is made of ABS plastic and is red to allow clear visibility of the unit.
