Evaluation Module for TGS3870 Methane Gas Sensor

A PCB evaluation module from Figaro for use with the TGS3870 methane and carbon monoxide gas sensor (RS 134-6655). Testing of the sensor is simplified by using a continuous output signal generated by this module. The operating mode of TGS3870 uses a 20-second heater cycle for intermittent detection, but with this evaluation module the intermittent sensor response is converted into a continuous output voltage by the software contained in the module's microprocessor. The module requires a regulated operating supply of 5V DC.

Note

The TGS3870 Gas Sensor (RS 134-6655) is not included with the module and must be ordered separately.

PCB Mounted Gas Sensors

Operating conditions in which Sensors are used will vary with each customer's application. Gas and oxygen sensors are not authorised for use as critical components in life support applications wherein a failure or malfunction of the products may result in injury or threat to life. Non-calibrated PCB gas sensors will not operate properly if not calibrated prior to usage.
