Changing blades is a quick and easy job – simply unscrew the old blade, slot in the replacement and secure with the tool's holding screw. Can I re-sharpen an old pipe cutter blade instead of replacing it?

While you could sharpen a blade with the right tools, it isn't recommended as it's difficult to accurately bevel the edge and retain a symmetrical point. This means you could damage plastic pipework and tubing when you're cutting.
