Keep your soldering iron in good working condition with the RS PRO tip cleaner. After using your soldering iron, simply wipe or turn the tip in the metal wool to give it a gentle and effective clean.

Regular cleaning of the solder tip prevents damage from oxidation and prolongs the life of your soldering iron. This metal wool cleaner is made from brass shavings, a softer alternative to steel wool which allows you to gently and effectively remove residue and dirt from the solder tip. This type of dry cleaning method avoids the frequent temperature changes caused by cleaning solder tips with a damp sponge.

This soldering accessory conforms to the US and European ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 electrostatic control standards. Soldering tools and cleaners are commonly used in electronics manufacturing and electrical engineering.
