It ensures that your safety guard can only be released when machinery has come to complete stop, restricting access to unsafe areas. The 440G-LZS21STRH switch has efficient microprocessor technology with an RFID coded actuator, and it features a secure locking bolt drive mechanism that only locks when it detects the correct actuator. The switch holds the highest level of safety for guard door position and lock monitoring as it is TÜV certified to Ple, Cat. 4 (EN/ISO 13849-1).

What is a Solenoid Interlock Switch?

A solenoid interlock switch is a type of safety switch with an internal solenoid; a wire coil which converts electrical energy to mechanical. This type of interlock mechanism prevents access to hazardous areas where machinery is in motion by ensuring that that safety barriers remain securely locked. The guard can only be released through either energising (Power to unlock) or de-energising (Power to Lock) the solenoid with an external signal. They are often used in industrial environments, for example with high inertia rotating machines.
