This very fast-acting fuse from Eaton's Bussmann series responds instantly to both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) faults. It prevents short circuits from causing a fire or damaging electrical equipment. The low-voltage protection device is suitable to use with DC drives, power converters and reduced voltage starters. It has a high-rupturing capacity, so is heat-resistant and won't melt nearby wiring or cables if it blows.
