RS PRO EPDM Rubber Edge Protector 13 mm X 6 mm

RS PRO rubber edge protector strip or edging strip designed as a simple way to cover and protect the sharp edges of sheet material such as metal panels. Edge protectors are often used in industries that deal with metal panels or edges which include automotive, fabrication and aviation for various jobs including to seal, protect against moisture, dirt and sharp edges and finish.

EPDM stands for Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer and is a synthetic rubber suitable for use in the automotive and constructive industries for various seals due to its excellent resistance to general weathering.

Both door seals and edging strips are fitted onto the edges of panels, doors and windows and offer protection from exposed sharp metal or glass edges. Sealing strips and edging also act as draught excluders and help keep in heat when used around doors and windows. Edging strips, when used in electrical installations, protect cables and wires from abrasion to the outer insulation when they are passed through frames or grids.
