RS PRO Multifunction Moisture Meter

Introducing the RS Pro Multifunctional Moisture Meter, a highly reliable device used for quickly and effectively measuring moisture content in a range of materials, including wood, plaster and concrete. The RS PRO DT-229/239 features pinless technology, allowing an accurate moisture measurement to be carried out without damaging the surface. An optional pin-type probe can also be attached to perform moisture readings at different penetration levels (3ft/0.9m cable length).

The RS PRO Multifunctional Meter is designed with moisture measurement in mind, however the DT-229/239 meter also has the ability to simultaneously measure and display air temperature, IR temperature or humidity, making it a highly versatile multifunctional meter. Whether you are working in a light or dark environment, viewing the results is easily achievable thanks to the large backlit digital LCD dual display screen.

What is the difference between pin and pinless?

A pin-type moisture meter (or damp meter) contains metal points that are inserted into the material in order to take a reading, whereas a pinless meter uses non-invasive technology to detect how waveforms are affected by the presence of moisture in the material.
