Metcal HCV Soldering Tips / Solder Tip Cartridges.
HCV-solder tip cartridges are the high-power soldering tip range for the Metcal CV-5200, MX-5200 and MX-5200 series soldering systems.
All cartridges are available in 3 temperature ranges:
- 700-series nominally 390 ˚C.
- 800-series nominally 430 ˚C.
- 900-series nominally 460 ˚C.
The temperature/series is designated by the by the first digit in the numerical part of the part number:
- 700-series will be HTD-7xx.
- 800-series will be HTD-8xx.
- 900-series will be HTDC-9xx.
Metcal recommends the 700-series for many applications.
800/900-series for high temperature and thermally demanding applications.
Can be used with leaded and lead-free solder.
The Metcal “SmartHeat®-Technology“ will adjust delivered power during soldering to suit the application.
- 700 = FR4/Fiber Glass, for most standard applications.
- 800 = FR4/Fiber Glass, for most standard applications.
- 900 = Ceramic, for high thermal demand applications.
CVC range for heavy load application.
Suitable for:
CV-5200, MX-5000, MX-5200, solder iron CV-H6-HTD, CV-H7-HTD, MX-H6-HTD, MX-H7-SF, solder-Kit CV-UK6, MX-UK6, CV-UK7-HTD.
