This solenoid valve from Festo has a soft start to gradually build up pressure in pneumatic systems. An adjustable control valve allows only small amounts of air to flow into a compressed-air system as output pressure is built up. This lets downstream cylinders and working devices slowly move into position. Full pressure is only released when all of the components are in place. This improves operator safety and protects pneumatic systems from damage. You can manually stop this valve in the event of a technical fault.
