3M Lapping Film
The 3M lapping film is tightly graded silicon carbide mineral slurry coated onto a polyester film backing. It is available with or without PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive). It is standard resin type and its colour is grey.
Achieve a good polished finish in fibre optics and metallurgic applications, with 3M™ Lapping Film 461X, our superior films for silicon carbide related polishing. Our films are made up of tightly packed and precisely graded silicon carbide particles, coated on a 3mil polyester film. The tightly packed particles offer a more consistent cut rate and finish.
