The Sensirion SGP40 indoor air quality sensor for measuring VOC is an integrated CMOSens® sensor system on a single chip based on a metal-oxide sensor. It will provide a humidity-compensated indoor air quality signal via a digital I2C interface.
Sensirion’s gas sensor MOXSens® Technology is robust against contamination by siloxanes resulting in long-term stability in terms of sensitivity and response time. SGP40 air quality sensor uses low power consumption and is designed for various applications and devices. Some areas include Indoor air quality monitoring, demand-controlled ventilation thermostats and air purifiers.
Sensirion’s SGP40 VOC Algorithm analyses volatile organic compound events, once they are detected the sensor will then map them to a VOC Index that will provide a practical quantification of the VOC events.
RS also offers SGP40 evaluation kits, SEK-SVM40 2047513 the kit contains an SVM40 development board equipped with the 1 x SGP40, 1 x SHT40. 1 x UART to USB adapter cable (2m), 6-pin jumper wire cable and software.
We also have SEK-SVM4x Evaluation kit for SGP40/41 2348989 and this kit comprises of the SVM development board 1 x SGP41 and 1 x SHT40, the UART to USB adapter cable and the jumper wire set.
