The SKF take-up ball bearing units consist of an insert bearing and a housing, and are compliant with ISO standards, North American standards, and Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS), as required by many industrial applications. In contrast, take-up units for the SKF Food Line are not compliant with these standards and are therefore considered as not standardized. The SKF take-up ball bearing unit assortment comprises insert bearing series and designs, with the main differences between the take-up units being the housing design, the locking method onto the shaft, the sealing solution, and the options for end covers and back seals.
