When it receives an overcurrent, the internal bimetallic strip heats up and bends, cutting the power supply to attached circuits. Resetting this unit is a cinch as you just need to flip the built-in toggle switch to get it back in action. As it's a type-C MCB, it trips at between five and ten times the rated load current of 10A, making it suitable for high-power electrical systems.
