How is the speed determined?
3 phase AC induction motors feature two main components that can influence the speed of the motor, these include a rotor and a stator. Once a current is applied across the stator, a rotating magnetic field is created inducing a current in the rotor. As a result, the rotor also creates a magnetic field and begins to follow the stator. In addition, the number of poles in the windings of a motor can greatly determine the motor's speed. If a motor has a higher number of poles it will tend to have a slower rated speed but a higher-rated torque.

In the event of any such product becoming/arriving materially defective surrounding defects apparent on delivery or within 18 months of purchase, RS will (at its option) replace or repair the product or refund the purchase price.
