The AMS Trex Device Communicator improves efficiency with a modern, intuitive user experience that includes a larger display, touchscreen, and task-based user interface. Device Dashboards, advanced diagnostics, and troubleshooting tips help you fix issues in the field when you find them.
Delivered with a pre-installed DD library for over 2,000 HART and FOUNDATION Fieldbus devices, AMS Trex users can easily diagnose device problems in the field. Simple issues can be addressed on the spot, avoiding unnecessary, and potentially destructive, invasive physical investigation of the problem.
The AMS Trex allows users to power devices in the field directly from the handheld, eliminating the need to locate and carry a compatible power supply. Power the loop functionality also allows device configuration in the field on new projects — even before power and I/O infrastructure are in place — helping to keep device configuration off critical path.
Once changes have been made in the field, AMS Trex will automatically synchronise the information with the AMS Device Manager database via Wi-Fi or USB connection.
