Applications:

Hanger bolts are much more common than you’d expect and are used for a wide range of applications. They have a unique, double-ended design, where one end is slightly pointier which is normally the end that goes into wood, while the other side has a flat head which would generally go into a metal mounting plate. Hanger bolts are also designed with two different thread types on each side, intended for whichever application they are being used for. Hanger bolts are most commonly used for:
