RS PRO Two Part ABS Black Enclosures

Introducing two part ABS enclosures from our trusted and reliable own brand RS PRO, a range of high quality enclosures including an ABS moulded base and lid. These lightweight yet durable enclosures are moulded with ABS plastic, providing shock absorbent and scratch resistant properties. The boxes include internal grooves to allow easy installation of PCB (printed circuit boards) and cards both horizontally and vertically. The lid can be secured to the base via screws, providing excellent protection of internal components.

Benefits of ABS plastic?

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a low cost type of thermoplastic polymer that is highly durable and features a high resistance to chemical corrosion in its solid state. It has a low melting point allowing it to be molded and shaped accordingly, making it a very versatile material. ABS plastic also features scratch resistance, high shock absorbance and high tensile strength.

Is this waterproof?

This enclosure is not waterproof and is not intended for use outdoors.

The FLXT series from Pactec offers protection to house various equipment from junction boxes, testing devices and audio/video devices. The enclosure is made up of an ABS base that is flame retardant to 94VO standard. Coupled with an aluminium lid, which offers strength and lightness this enclosure has great impact resistance.
