From RS PRO this is a Point illuminated Piezo switch housed within an aviation grade metal which is milled for additional strength plus provides complete protection from water, chemicals, dirt, extreme temperatures plus the added protection from vandalism. The RS PRO illuminated piezo switch is a truly universally used switch not only used for applications on land, and in the air but used underwater capable of withstanding depths of up to 1 km, impact resistant to IK10. This tough hard wearing piezoelectric switch is touch activated suitable for various applications and rated for fifty million activations.

What is a Piezo Switch?

Piezo switches are also known as Piezoelectric switches. The switches are an electronic switch that uses the piezoelectric effect converting mechanical energy into an electrical signal. The switch does not use mechanical components like springs or buttons to activate or deactivate electrical circuits.
