This RS PRO telephone socket or faceplate is a reliable piece you can use as a master or NTE5 socket in your building, providing a clear demarcation between the network and the customer's wiring. This allows you to more easily identify any line faults in your network.
You can conveniently connect the terminations to the wires with a punch down or IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact) tool, which makes the connecting process easier. The terminations are also colour-coded according to T568B wiring specifications, which helps you easily identify the right wires.
The unit is rated at 100 MHz and complies with EIA/ TIA TSB40 (Electronic Industries Alliance/ Telecommunications Industry Association) standards specifying transmission performance requirements for UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) connecting cables. Each telephone socket is handled and packed in compliance with American (ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014) and European (BS EN 61340-5-1:2007) electrostatic discharge (ESD) certifications ensuring the risk of discharge is reduced.
