Should I choose a fused or a non-fused isolator switch for my application?

Both fused and non-fused isolator switches disconnect individual circuits for servicing. Fused switches use fuses to provide extra protection against electrical surges but may not be suitable for applications that anticipate some amount of overcurrent. Non-fused switches only operate manually alongside an external automatic current protection device.
