When the magnetic actuator is withdrawn from the switch the NC safety contacts are opened, which isolates power to the machine.

Ferrogard safety switches provide the reliability of non-contact switches combined with a high tolerance to door misalignment due to their large sensing field. They have simplified set-up and alignment to help decrease installation costs. They also have internal non-resettable overload protection on the safety contact and protected safety contacts. Risk of debris contamination is reduced due to no contact between the sensor and actuator. The FRS 1, 2, 20 and 21 devices are made from moulded ABS with a rectangular housing for flexible mounting options, and are sealed to IP67 (NEMA 6P), which makes them dust-tight and highly suitable for use in wet environments.

440N-G02094 Magnetic Safety Interlock Switch

The 440N-G02094 Ferrogard FRS2 model has 1NC (Normally Closed) safety contact and 1NO (Normally Open) auxiliary contact. The switching capacity is 1A max at 24VDC and it features a 4-pin Micro Quick Disconnect connector. The ABS plastic rectangular enclosure is red to allow clear visibility of the unit in an emergency. This safety switch offers dependable contact-free interlocking for the machine guard.
