The 440N-G02118 Ferrogard safety switch has a 3m cable, 1NC Safety Contact, 1 NO Auxiliary Contact. The safety contact switching capability is 24V DC, 1 A max. The operating distance for this switch is 12mm (make), 23mm (break). It has resilient stainless-steel FRS2 GD2 housing to protect against impacts. It also has an environmental protection rating of IP68 (NEMA 6P). This means that it is dust-tight, and durable against temporary immersion in water. This versatile Ferrogard interlock switch has a wide operating temperature range of -25 to +125° (-13…+257°), for greater application flexibility.

How it works: The magnetic actuator is withdrawn from the switch when the safety barrier is released. This opens the NC safety contact which then isolates power to the machine. This ensures that machinery cannot run while the guard is open, ensuring that personnel cannot access a hazardous area.
