Allen Bradley Guardmaster 440G-T27129 TLS-2-GD2 Solenoid Interlock Switch
The 440G-T27129 TLS-2-GD2 Solenoid Interlock Safety Switch by Allen Bradley Guardmaster keeps machine guards fully secured and provides excellent protection. This reliable safety switch is a positive mode, tongue-operated interlock switch. It ensures that machine guards are safely locked while machinery is in motion, helping to prevent the risk of personnel entering a dangerous area where injuries may occur.
The TLS-2-GD2 guard-locking switch is perfect for use with machines which do not stop instantly, or which may be damaged by interference while in motion. It is also suitable for use with PLCs. The safety barrier can only open when the internal solenoid is de-energised by an external signal. It also keeps power isolated when the barrier is open, ensuring vital protection for machine operators. This cost-efficient safety interlock switch has 2 entry slots on the head and it can also be rotated to offer 4 actuator entry positions. A blanking plug is provided to seal the unused slot.
The 440G-T27129 safety interlock switch is Power-to-Lock with M20 Conduit entry. It has 2NC safety contacts and 1NO auxiliary contact. The solenoid voltage is 230 V ac/dc. This TLS-2-GD2 switch offers superior stability for the safety door with a high holding force of 2000N (450 lbs). The housing material is comprised of durable UL approved glass-filled PBT. The solenoid contacts are 1NC/1NO. This versatile switch has an environmental protection rating of IP67, making it fully protected against ingress of dust particles and able to withstand temporary immersion in water. This makes it perfect for use in wet environments where regular wash downs are necessary. This unit has a rated insulation voltage is 500V and the thermal current is 10A. It has an operating temperature range of -20°C to + 60°C (-4°F to +140°F).
Note: Actuator is not supplied and must be ordered separately.

What are Solenoid Interlock Switches?
A solenoid interlock switch is a type of safety switch with an internal solenoid; a wire coil which converts electrical energy to mechanical. This type of mechanism limits access to dangerous areas where machinery may be functioning by ensuring that that barriers remain securely shut. The safety guard can only be opened through either energising (Power to Release) or de-energising (Power to Lock) the solenoid with an external signal. They are often used in industrial environments, for example with high inertia rotating machines.
