Allen Bradley Guardmaster 440G-T27138 TLS-3-GD2 Solenoid Interlock Switch
For a more secure, safe, and efficient guard-locking system the 440G-T27138 TLS-3-GD2 Solenoid Interlock Switch by Allen Bradley Guardmaster is an ideal solution. This unit is a positive mode, tongue-operated interlock switch that ensures guards are safely locked while the power supply to the machine is on. It features a rotatable head with 2 entry slots, offering 4 actuator entry options. A blanking plug is provided to seal the unused slot.
With the TLS-3-GD2 switch the barrier can only open when the internal solenoid is energised by an external signal. In addition, the power supply is isolated when the safety barrier is released. This helps to avoid the risk of machine operators entering an unsafe area where machinery could be in motion and cause serious injury. This safety interlock switch is perfectly suited for use with machines which do not stop instantly, or which may be damaged by interference while in motion. It ensures that your personnel are well protected and your machine processes can run seamlessly, helping to minimise downtime and improve efficiency.
The 440G-T27138 TLS-3-GD2 Guard-locking Switch is Power-to-Release. It has M20 conduit entry, 2NC safety contacts and 1NO auxiliary contact. This safety interlock switch has a high holding force of 2000N (450 lbs) for improved stability of the safety barrier. It is also sealed to IP67, making it ideal for use in wet environments where machinery is regularly washed down. The solenoid voltage is 110 V ac/dc and the solenoid contacts are 2NC. The housing material is made of durable UL approved glass-filled PBT and it has an operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F). The versatile TLS-3-GD2 safety switch is also suitable for use with PLCs.
Note: Actuator is not supplied and must be ordered separately. This unit incorporates a power-to-unlock function.

How do Solenoid Interlock Switches work?
Solenoid interlock switches work by having their internal solenoid energised (Power to Release) or de-energised (Power to Lock) by an external signal.
