The product complies with the BS EN 60529:1992, IEC 529:1989 (protection for electrical equipment enclosures). It's suitable for use in areas where high-pressure washdowns are likely.

The coupling has a female threaded conduit connection with a 1.5 mm pitch that conforms to the BS4568 thread standard, so it works with commonly used fittings, conduits, and adaptors. You'll find connectors such as this commonly used in dairies or breweries.
