What's the difference between NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed) contacts?
NO is when the contact switch remains open until an action has been performed. This means an action is required in order to close the switch and let the circuit conduct electricity. NC contacts are the opposite, remaining closed until an action is completed and then opening the switch and breaking the circuit connection. This contact block is NO.
