Molex Telephone Connector
The Molex 55100 series male telephone connector is a 6-way, serial, I/O plug kit with a 2.0mm pitch and solder termination. Sometimes referred to as a FireWire, this is wire-to-wire serial I/O plug kit consists of a housing assembly, shell body and cover, cable clamp, covers, as well as screws. The metal parts of this plug kit are made from stainless steel, the housing from high-temperature thermoplastic and the contacts from phosphor bronze with a gold plating. Often used in digital video applications, these FireWire cable assemblies are known for their high rate of data transfer.
