RS PRO Portable 2 kW Oil Filled Radiator with Adjustable Thermostat and Type G 3-Pin Plug

From RS PRO this is a 2-kW oil filled radiator. Free standing, mounted on easy glide castors so can be moved to heat any area providing 2000 watts of heating power. The radiator has an adjustable thermostat control with three power settings allowing you to control the heating output and as the heat radiated is by convection the radiator is quiet when in operation. The RS PRO radiator stands on a wide stable base so will not be easily knocked over plus has a built-in cable storage area for when the radiator is not in use.

How do oil filled radiators work?

The Radiators work by heating up a reservoir of oil inside the radiator which then heats up the metal fins-built on the outside of the radiator allowing the heat to radiate into a room.

Are oil filled radiators energy efficient?

Yes, an oil filled radiator is energy efficient, they use electricity to heat the oil to a required temperature which retains the heat and will continue to radiate heat after the radiator is switched off.

Are oil filled radiators safe?

As they do not have any exposed heating elements the radiators are generally safe however it is important to keep them away from any flammable objects and do not touch the hot radiator fins.

What size of oil filled radiator do I need?

This does depend on the size of room that you want to heat. As a rule, you will need around 10 watts of heating power per square foot of space you wish to heat.
