This magnetically actuated safety switch offers peace-of-mind by providing the well-known reliability of non-contact switches along with greater tolerance to door misalignment and movement with its wide sensing field.

This Ferrogard switch is specifically designed to be installed on machine guard doors. The magnetic actuator is withdrawn from the switch when the safety barrier is released. This opens the NC safety contacts which then isolates power to the machine. This ensures that machinery cannot run until the guard is closed, and that personnel cannot access a hazardous area - reducing risk of injury.

The 440N-G02099 Ferrogard Safety Interlock Switch has 2NC safety contacts, 1NO auxiliary contact, and has a switching capacity of 24V DC, 1 A max. It features a 6-pin Micro Quick Disconnect cable and FRS21 rectangular housing. The housing is comprised of moulded ABS plastic in red. This switch is sealed to IP67, ensuring that it is fully protected against ingress of dust and can withstand temporary immersion in water. It has an operating temperature range of -10°C to +55°C (+14…+131 °F), and the operating distance for the safety contacts is 12mm (make), 23mm (break).
