The Sensaguard safety switches feature advanced latest generation Radio Frequency Identification technology for coding and inductive technology for sensing, which makes them highly reliable and tamper-resistant. These switches are designed to be installed on machine guard doors, offer tolerance to door misalignment, and have a large sensing range. These versatile switches can meet a broad range of industrial applications.

These safety interlock switches can be connected standard safety relays, SmartGuards and safety I/O blocks to suit your needs. They also maintain PLe, SIL 3, Cat 4 rating even with multiple units connected in series. They have a high IP69K rating, which ensures that they can withstand powerful jets of water and are fully protected against dust ingress. The Sensaguard switches are a cost-effective solution and are perfectly suited for use with sliding, hinged, and lift-off machine guard doors.

440N-Z21U16H Non-Contact Interlock Switch

The 440N-Z21U16H safety switch has 18mm plastic barrel housing, in red, and an 18mm actuator. It features a 6-inch pigtail, 8-pin Micro (M12) connector. This model has a unique coded actuator and the assured sensing distance is 15mm. It features LED indication for quick, easy diagnostics and door status.

This contact-free switch can be used with Guardlink, a new safety linking technology from Allen Bradley Guardmaster. Guardlink simplifies and reduces the connection time of the safety system, whilst providing real-time diagnostic information over Ethernet IP. This makes it simple to identify the location of the device that has tripped the system, thus reducing downtime, and improving the machines overall efficiency. What is RFID and how does it work?

RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification, which is a non-contact method of transferring digital data via radio frequency waves. Equipment with this type of wireless communication usually consist of an RFID tag, an RFID reader, and an antenna. The tag transmits data when triggered by an electromagnetic pulse from the reader. This technology is used widely in many industries, for example with tracking inventory goods, personnel tracking and identification, and restricted area access. Non-contact switches with this technology are highly tamper-proof as they cannot be manipulated, providing a higher level of security.
