Souriau 8D Series ELIO Optical Contacts

A range of Souriau ELIO robust spring loaded butt joint optical contacts for use within the ELIO range of 38999 connectors, contacts are hermaphroditic an as such are used in both plug and receptacle connectors. These ELIO contacts feature a bayonet locking system which elimiinates the need for assembly tooling, compatible with single and multimode cables and featuring a boot grommet for rear sealing and protection of the cable against excessive bending once assembled. These ELIO optical contacts can endure over 500 mating and unmating operations are are resistant to high levels of both shock and vibration.

Souriau 8D Optical ELIO series connectors are durable fibre optic connectors designed for use within military and civil aerospace, space and nuclear, marine and geophysical equipment, medical instrumentation, defense and military ground personnel and industrial connector applications. These fibre optic connectors feature a threaded coupling are scoop proof and have bayonet locking contact inserts. Souriau 8D ELIO fibre optoc connectors have a high resistance to harsh environmental factors such as shock and temperature extremes and offer over 500 mating and unmating operations, these connectors have been designed to conform to MIL-DTL-38999 and EN3645 standards.
