brennenstuhl vibrating point level switch for bulk solids. This switch is used for the detection of high and low-levels in bulk solids and dusty powders including cement, lime, and flour. The vibrating fork sensors operate by oscillating two forks at their natural frequency in air. When submerged in a medium, the frequency changes and triggers a response from the level switch. These vibrating point level switches have many advantages including minimal maintenance and installation requirements. Also, they do not need calibration on commissioning.

Angle mounting should only be used with flowing materials
The user will need protection where a level switch could be subject to high material loads
