These 3.5 mm 4-pole jack connectors – part of the RS PRO range – have a wide variety of applications. They can carry a mic channel and a stereo audio connection at the same time. The connectors have contact plating made of a nickel-silver alloy, which prevents oxidation and improves performance and durability. Nickel is also a comparatively hard metal, so the plating is resistant to wear-and-tear. For additional protection, the units are housed in long-lasting nylon bodies. As they mount on a PCB (printed circuit board), there's reduced likelihood of loose connections and short circuits.
