These PVC insulated flat pair extension and compensating cables are available for thermocouple types E, J, K, T & N. The general purpose thermocouple cables are both highly flexible and waterproof. Also available in 10m, 25m, 100m and 200m lengths.

If you're constructing a temperature sensor for a thermostat, consider this Type K thermocouple and extension wire from our trusted RS PRO range. The cable will operate at a wide temperature range and is safe from -10˚C without cracking up to +105˚C without melting.

It's waterproof and pliable, being sheathed in insulating PVC. The wire is available in a 200 m spool. Inside each flat pair of conductors, you'll find seven strands of 0.2 mm.

It's certified as a safe Tolerance Class 2 thermocouple cable, conforming to the IEC-584-3 standard, and has colour-coded cores and jacket to indicate this. You won't damage equipment by electrostatic discharge as it meets the stringent ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 standards. What's more, the cable's compliant with RoHS, so it contains minimal levels of hazardous substances.
