RS PRO Thermocouple and Extension Wire Type K, 50 m

This 50 m thermocouple extension wire from RS PRO lets you make your own simple thermocouples by welding the two wires together at one end and then fitting them to a standard connector. This allows you to quickly and easily customise the length of the thermocouple or replace it in the event of damage. This Type K thermocouple has two wires made of nickel-chromium and nickel aluminium alloys, giving them a wide operating temperature range from -75°C to +260°C.
The cable has a flat design, meaning that the two wires are not twisted together. This allows the cable to be thinner, making it easier to route. The PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation provides resistance to oils and acids as well as good mechanical strength for use in harsh environments. This thermocouple is suitable for steam applications, autoclaves and sterilisers.
